Put simply, Reactive are an award-winning digital agency with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, London, Auckland and New York. Founded in 1997 and with over 90 amazing people in our team, we’re one of Australia’s largest and longest running independent digital agencies.
But size, independence and the odd grey hair isn’t everything. Most importantly, we partner with our clients to create unique online solutions that deliver real results. We do this through any combination of strategy, creative, technology, integrated marketing and project management.
Our independent ownership allows us to remain joylessly impartial. We work collaboratively with our clients, and can do so with your other agency partners. We don’t do egos here.

Our history
Founded in 1997, we were creating online experiences back when Netscape 2 was the browser of choice, and the "dot-com bubble" was but a twinkle in investor's eyes.
Founders Tim Fouhy and Tim O'Neill (who continue to independently own and manage the business) emerged from their studies of Computer Graphic Design in New Zealand.
Immediately following graduation in 1996, ‘the Tims’ moved to Melbourne to pursue their Internet careers at Sausage Software, one of the world's pioneering Internet software companies. As one of Australia's busiest and most profitable eCommerce Web sites, www.sausage.com became their responsibility and was twice voted most popular Web site at the Australian Internet Awards.
At this time, ‘the Tims’ became aware of the lack of experienced, results-focused and energetic digital agencies (back then we were called ‘Web design companies’) in the marketplace. Thus… Reactive was born, with the aim of applying the skills and experience gained at Sausage Software to a wider range of commercial Web sites and multimedia projects.
Since then, the Reactive team has grown to include some of the most talented and experienced strategists, creatives and technologists in Australia, helping to keep Reactive at the leading-edge of the industry. Our collection of industry awards is testament to the quality of work we produce.
In 2006 Reactive opened offices in Sydney and London, to build on an already solid client-base, and seize new opportunities in these regions. These offices continue to prosper, with strong revenue growth and amazing new clients in the past four years.
In 2010 Reactive returned to Aotearoa, opening an office in Auckland, New Zealand. In only a few short months (since writing) this office has secured amazing new clients and we’re confident of replicating our success in Melbourne, Sydney and London.
