EPA Victoria Beach Report site

EPA Victoria Beach Report site

With summer fast approaching in Australia, it was the perfect time to redesign EPA Victoria’s Beach Report Site. The EPA Beach Report provides the latest information on water quality and beach conditions for Victoria beaches over summer.

The client approached Reactive to redesign the existing Web site, improving the user experience and making the focus of the site an interactive map showing the water quality for all monitored stations.

We approached the redesign with a focus on easy-to-use navigation that is intuitive and orderly. Users are presented with accurate and timely information that enables them to make an informed decision on whether they can safely swim at beaches around the Bay. Data about the beaches water level and quality are also available for download on the Web site.

The map of Port Philip Bay pinpoints the name and locations of the beaches that surround it, providing a quick snapshot on their cleanliness. With predictions that it’s going to be a hot summer in Australia, more Victorians will be using this site as their go-to resource for a great day at the beach.
