Brief
NEC Australia is a leading supplier and integrator of information technology solutions for government and businesses. NEC Australia and Reactive have enjoyed a fruitful partnership together which commenced with the redesign of their Web site in 2010. NEC approached Reactive to develop an animated video for CeBIT, a high profile technology event in Australia that NEC was exhibiting at. NEC planned to launch their new Unified Communications platform at CeBIT and the objectives were to reintroduce NEC to the market following reorganisation earlier in the year and to draw people to their stand in an engaging and exciting manner by showing videos at their stand.
Design & Strategy
Reactive created four animated videos of about 60 seconds in duration for Business, Government, Health and Education. The content for these videos were inspired by NEC Australia case studies and ran on small TV screens around NEC’s stand. The colours for the animations were selected from the NEC palette with the use of grey as a secondary colour. The focus was on snappy, short animations to capture the attention of passer-by’s. Without sound in the videos, the animations converged on the storyline and information provided rather than a character.
Solution
Results
The videos were a tremendous success at CeBIT and NEC were exceptionally pleased with the results. Simon Hunter, Online Marketing Manager for NEC says:
